I had heard many good things about this book, so I was really looking forward to it. Maybe it is because I have been out of high school for a long time, but I had a really hard time believing the amount of cruelty and drugs the author portrayed. I found myself rolling my eyes at the dramatics of it all. And the ending really just seemed to fizzle to me. I didn't care about the characters enough to care about the resolution.
